System for destructive test of motorcycle helmet
The basis of the system is in PC measuring technology. Data from 4 acceleration sensors placed on the tested helmet are collected. Furthermore, the final speed of the hammer falling to the helmet is measured. This speed is measured by an optical sensor that senses the pass through an orifice of a defined length. The system evaluates the pulse length from the optical sensor and converts it to speed. The system software is based on the standard EfLab program from our company. This program was custom modified.
Properties:
- dynamic measurement of analog signals
- pulse length measurement – hammer speed
Measured values (stated accuracy of measurement is over the whole measuring chain, including sensors):
Unit | No. of channels | Resolution | Accuracy | Sampling |
AC current | 4 | 1.5 A | 1% | 1 kHz |
AC voltage | 4 | 5 V | 0,5% | 1 kHz |
Protection – 100V DC | 8 |
