Description

A practical book for project managers who are familiar with project management processes and thus better able to understand the specifics of program management. Step by step, the book compares the different aspects of program management with project management and shows where the difference is and why. The book is focused on practical descriptions, authentic experiences, and specific recommendations. Gradually, the book gets down to the description of program manager certification. The author’s experience training several successfully certified program managers show that this “comparative” approach is more effective than the usual process description.

There are not many publications on the market yet that cover program management. One can, of course, study the appropriate standard. There are also several better or worse study guides for preparing for program manager certification. However, all of them are based on a process perspective, i.e., they are based on a description of the program management process. This book is unique in its concept of advancing the knowledge and experience of the project manager.
